With this update, we have implemented a significant conceptual improvement in the web application that enhances transparency and security in the patent evaluation process.
What has changed?
Previously, the process worked as follows:
As soon as you opened a project, it was automatically set as the active project.
If a search was then performed, the ratings automatically applied to that project—even if that was not the intention. As a result, ratings could sometimes be assigned in the wrong context, such as in a monitoring task.
New Logic for Greater Control
Effective immediately:
- Search queries are executed by default in the default search project
- The rating fields displayed always refer to this default project
- The currently active project is clearly displayed in the top-right corner
- The project can be manually changed at any time
-> This ensures that ratings are no longer unintentionally assigned to the wrong project.
Affected search areas
This change affects all central search functions:
- Patent Number Search
- Intelligent Search
- Simplified Search
- Folder Search
