2025 – A milestone year for IP7 Technologies
2025 was a very special year for us at IP7 Technologies. Not only because of numerous exciting projects, but above all because IP7 Compass has developed at a rapid pace.
Just a year and a half ago, artificial intelligence played a rather minor role in our daily work. Today, it is an integral part of our software—and it is impossible to imagine modern patent work without it.
AI as a driver of innovation
2025 was dominated by the question:
How can processes be automated without losing control?
How can AI provide support without anticipating decisions?
And how can routine tasks be significantly reduced?
These considerations have given rise to functions that are already making everyday work easier for many users.

AI Innovator
Our big highlight: With the IP7 AI Innovator, hit lists with up to 200,000 documents can be actively queried. This not only makes research faster, but also more interactive and insightful.
Automatic folder creation & filling
The software independently creates technical folder structures and automatically fills them with matching patents—for more structure in complex subject areas.
Security & infrastructure
All AI functions run exclusively on our own servers. No customer-related data is transmitted to third parties—only published patent data is processed. Sensitive information remains completely protected.

Outlook for 2026
2026 will remain dynamic. Numerous new features are already in development – from small efficiency gains to major technological leaps. AI remains a central element, always with a focus on control, transparency, and user-friendliness.
At the beginning of the year, we will introduce a new, enhanced version of our AI Innovator. AI search, similarity search, and AI sorting will reach a new level of performance—based on modern AI architecture that has only recently become available.
